My Review- Worth The Risk by K. Bromberg

This whole contest was supposed to be easy. I know, I know. Famous last words.

It’s a long story, but I messed up at work. Big time. To earn back the trust of my boss, I promised to save one of our magazines. Yep. That Hot Dad contest you’ve seen advertised all over the place was my idea. And if I’m successful, if I’m able to increase our online readership, then I get a shot at my dream job.

But the one thing I never expected to happen, happened: Contestant number ten, Grayson Malone. Hello, Mr. Difficult. And did I mention sexy as hell?

Unfortunately he knows me. The old me, anyway. And while we might be older now, I remind him of before. Of the woman who broke his heart, who hardened him, and who left him alone to raise the cutest little boy I’ve ever seen.

But I don’t want a relationship. And I definitely don’t fall for single dads with baggage. Even ones with chiseled abs and killer smiles.

But he got to me. They got to me. He and his son and their messy, crazy life. But I got to him too. I see the stolen glances. I feel the walls he built start to crumble. I recognize that there’s an unexpected beauty to the chaos in his life.

And now that the contest is about to end, we’re left to decide whether the last six months were just fun or if what we have is worth risking it all?

My Review
4 Stars

was super excited to read this book because I absolutely LOVE single dads. They are just the best. There's something about a dad that I find super sexy. Anyway, Sidney is pretty spoiled and is used to getting what she wants when she wants it. However, she really messes up at the magazine that her dad owns and he's officially had it, so he sends her back to her hometown to save their "Modern Family" magazine. In order to ramp things up, Sidney decides to do a hot dad contest and low and behold we meet Grayson. Because of Grayson's past with his son Luke's mother he has preconceived notions about Sidney right away. Not to mention they went to high school together where Sidney and Luke's mom Claire were rich stuck up snobs and Grayson was middle class to their upper class.

At first Grayson is a complete dick to Sidney but the more they hang out the more chemistry they have together. They decide to keep everything on the DL since she's in charge of the magazine and he's a candidate in the contest. Obviously feelings start to get in the way.

""You pushed me away. You expected me to leave. I'm here proving to you I intend to stay. I want you to know that dreams can change....and this - you, Luke, Sunnyville _ is my dream now."

Can I just say Luke is the cutest kid ever and spoiler alert: that proposal, probably the best proposal I've ever read. I loved it so creative!

"So there's this girl," he says and chills race over my skin as my heart melts and pulse races.
"And there's this boy...."
