My Review of What We Do in the Night by Stylo Fantome

Just five months ago, Valentine O'Dell started working at a very special kind of club - one where you can dance the night away, or live out your greatest fantasy. She's learned to lose herself to her nights, forgetting all her day time woes as she charms every man she meets. It's easy enough to do when she doesn't let her feelings get involved.

Then Ari Sharapov walked in and changed everything.

Working for his father's law firm has left Ari with very little control over his life, so when he meets Valentine for the first time, he sees a girl who is desperate for someone to take care of her. To take over her. So what he can't get for himself in the day time, he'll simply take for himself at night. But when power struggles lead to real feelings, who's actually controlling whom?

Some relationships are better left in the dark.

My Review
4 Stars
I've been in and out of a major book funk since January so I was super excited to read Stylo Fantome's new book. I mean if you're going to compare Ari to Jameson Kane, I'm all the way the f&%k in. I could definitely see some similarities between the two!!
Valentine is a young girl who becomes the sole provider for her sick grandmother. Not only is she in charge of her grandmothers care but she is also in charge of the finances. Due to these circumstances she works at a unique kind of club. Ari is your typical rich guy, hot, arrogant, and is used to getting what he wants.
Ari makes Valentine an offer she can't refuse and of course their relationship turns into more than either of them signed up for. I always say this about Stylo's books but it's honestly one of things I like best about her writing. Her characters remain true to themselves and I just love that!!!
Can't wait for the second book in this duet!
